COLD Smoke

By , November 26, 2010 9:07 AM

The title may be a little dramatic, but the past 2 days of skiing are the coldest I can remember skiing at Alta. Wednesday hit negative 12 degrees at the top of the Collins chair. At least on Thanksgiving the sun was out, but it was still clear and very cold dipping below the zero mark. It was so cold that I didn’t even take my hands out of my mittens to get the 2 clips below. The first clip is from Wednesday and is an unknown skier on the Baldy Shoulder ropeline above Wildcat. The second clip is of Johnny B on Thanksgiving Day just on the skiers left side of Bad News cliffs. There was some good powder out there, but I’ll be thankful when this cold front passes.
