Anyone know which of the alpine touring boots out there are traditionally stiffer than the others?
How about: which brand makes the stiffest? Anyone??

The new BD Factor looks super burly.
I've been using the Scarpa Spirit 4 all of last season, and while it's the perfect backcountry balance for agressive touring, you'll probably want more fore/aft stiffness for the resort. |

| Tecnica is now in the at business so you should check out the Agent, which I was going to feature in our gear section some time in the future. The Garmont Adrenalin is also a free ride/at boot. |

| Thanks hippies. I'm a long time loyal Tecnica person but I sure like the looks of those BD Factors.. Plus the Tecnica's only come in the .5 sizes and I think i might need size 27. |

OK I ordered some Black Diamond Factors today. I'll follow up on what I think after a couple of months skiing with them.
BTW D got a sick deal on the last pair (her size) of She-Ride Garmont Touring Boots...so we'll have to have "Tanker" come later in the season, and give us a report on those as well.

The Factors are here. Feel pretty good. I think I nailed the size with my order. They do seem to be pretty dang stiff/burly when locked in for skiing.
Although the BOA cable system seems to be pretty slick and durable, I'm reluctant to get excited about it until I have first hand proof that it won't break.
I'm one of those people who does not get excited about "bells and whistles". The more extras and fancy things there are, all the more that can break.

Nice!
How do they compare weight-wise with your alpine boots? Is there an appreciable difference? |

They are definitely lighter than my last pair of boots. I'm wearing them around the house right now.. How about some pow please? |
