Mammut Pulse Barryvox Avalanche Beacon

Product Group: Avalanche Beacons | Product Added on December 8, 2006, Updated on November 25, 2007

Mammut Barryvox Pulse Avalanche Beacon The first Barryvox transceiver was commissioned by the Swiss Army in 1968 and developed by the Autophon company. Barryvox beacons are now produced by Girsberger Elektronik AG and distributed exclusively by Mammut.

The Barryvox Pulse avalanche beacon is the latest and greatest transciever in the storied Barryvox avalanche safety equipment history. The Pulse excels with its sophisticated technology and user friendliness. The graphical display, a permanent 360-degree direction arrow, and the transmission of vital data allow for an easy, fast and effective rescue of avalanche victims. For multiple buried victims, the Pulse Beacon can search for up to eight signals at once. A triple antenna eliminates all signals except the one you're following and marks victims once they're located. If you happen to be the one who is buried, this beacon even has a motion sensor that detects vital signs and lets other Pulse users know you're still alive. It weighs 7.4 ounces with the batteries, and the battery life is approximately 200 hours on 3 AAA batteries.

Suggested Retail Price: $450
