Black Diamond is as far as you'll have to look to get your alpine touring gear. BD is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah,
barely a 20-minute drive to the Cottonwoods. They test their equipment in our backyard so we know it will work great.
The BD Ascension skins have set the standard for climbing skins. The skins are unchanged for 2009. They still come with a
reversible double-bar loop system so they will fit on the fattest touring skis. Black Diamond Ascension skins have a glue-free
strip down the middle to make frozen removals way easier. Sizes range from 70mm to 130mm, in 10mm increments. The standard
skins do not have a tail attachment system, eliminating weight and drag. The Clipfix skins use a metal clip to attach to the
tails.
