Alta Skiing Info
AltaCam is a site featuring information about life and powder skiing in Alta, Utah. What a powder-filled year season it was. Still, the LCC locals couldn't get enough. In fact at the time of this posting, Snowbird is STILL open and Alta still has a 100+ inch base! Enjoy the summer months, and see you soon. (posted June 8, 2008)

K2 Baker Superlight Randonnee Ski

Retail Price: $529.95

Lighter on the way up with more float on the way down, the K2 Baker Superlight Randonnee Skis are ideal for ski mountaineering trips and long tours in soft snow conditions. The sidecut on this superlight AT ski increases as you move from tail to tip, which provides confident and quick turn initiation on hard snow and easy release in powder and crud. Redesigned, longer tips make the K2 Baker Superlight float like a wider ski, and make turn initiation easy. A skin clip on the tail provides a secure attachment for you skins, while tip and tail holes make emergency sled construction significantly easier. Finally, K2 told its engineers to give this backcountry ski carbon, Kevlar Torsion Box construction, resulting in an amazingly light ski for the dimensions. A feature youll appreciate on the third morning of a multiday tour or halfway up Glacier Peak.
