Macpac Cascade 90L Pack

Retail Price: $424.95

When youre shouldering a weeks worth of gear, you want a weatherproof backpack that has load-carrying technology dialed. Macpac made the Cascade 90L Pack with a system that relieves pressure on your butt muscles and shifts weight onto your hips. Macpac moved the Cascade backpacks pivot point from the usual base-of-the-spine position to a point higher up where your back naturally flexes. This works with the hip-belt and flexible aluminum shoulder tracks so the Cascade backpack feels stable and moves with you. A freeload transfer system lets you position this packs rods in a neutral position for steep scrambling (so the weight transfers a bit to your shoulders for balance) and in a full position for maximum load transfer back to your hips on neutral ground.
