Alta Skiing Info
AltaCam is a site featuring information about life and powder skiing in Alta, Utah. What a powder-filled year season it was. Still, the LCC locals couldn't get enough. In fact at the time of this posting, Snowbird is STILL open and Alta still has a 100+ inch base! Enjoy the summer months, and see you soon. (posted June 8, 2008)

Mountain Hardwear Torch Jacket - Men's

The Mountain Hardwear Mens Torch Jacket represents the evolution of softshells. The hooded jacket weighs barely over a pound, making it an obvious choice on sunny days for backcountry skiers and ice climbers. Mountain Hardwear built the Torch Jacket with a Gore WindStopper laminate and underarm zippers; this way the fabric can be extremely thin but still offer the breathability and wind protection youve come to expect from softshells. Mountain Hardwear welded all the Torch Jackets seams instead of stitching them. Welding the seams makes the jacket more compressible when its packed, easier to move in, and more wind-resistant. Articulated sleeves allow you to naturally swing an ice axe without pulling up your coat, and the soft flannel-knit lining means youll be at least a little comfy hanging onto those axes stuck into vertical ice.
